Spiralocks®

Spiralocks are bendable wire dread ties with a soft wool felt or vegan wrap, easy to coil around any size dreadlock without the tension headaches a tight tie can cause. Whether you know them as spiralocks, spiral locs, spiral lock ties or spirallocks, this is where they all lead.

The idea started in 2011, when Peta and Helen, both new to dreadlocks themselves, couldn't find a tie that worked and made their own. Today, every Spiralock is handmade in Gunu village on Fiji's outer islands, work that's changed daily life for the women who make them. Kaile once earned $80 a week picking seaweed; making Spiralocks now lets her improve her family's home. Vani swapped 7 to 8 hour days diving for seaweed for steadier, sustainable work that's lifted her family's quality of life.
